Simona Vezzoli

Simona is currently a post doctoral researcher at the University of Amsterdam. She has contributed to the adoption and the adaptation of the scenario methodology for the study of the future of migration at IMI. Her research interests include the role of the state in migration, the interplay between broad processes of transformation and migration dynamics, border regimes and migration policies. Currently, her research, which is part of the Migration as Development (MADE) project, focuses on exploring the social transformation that took place in Italy since the 19th century and their role in shaping historical Italian emigration and immigration patterns.
